Zoé (Part 1)
Let's start with the LBA Wiki to uncover what we know about Zoé:
"In LBA, Twinsen manages to escape the Citadel asylum and Zoé is expecting him outside Twinsen's House. However soon after she is captured by two Groboclones. FunFrock manages to create a clone of her, kept in his Secret Fortress. When Twinsen arrives there, he rescues her only to find that it is her clone, allied to FunFrock, and learns that the real Zoé is held in the Well of Sendell. Twinsen rescues her at the very end of the game."
I always thought that this character was missing its 5 minutes in the franchise. She feels boring. I'm curious how she came to be a character in the original game. Stories like that would be fun to hear, but hey, we are where we are and will probably never hear them. Still, I want to add some depth to her character.
My initial approach here was not a very interesting one. I wanted to make her look and behave like in the original game. You know something like that:
Ahh, old times, and such a great backlash :D People hated it. Looking at it after all these years, I think she is holding pretty well, but I'm sure some will disagree. Later, I tried to redesign her with a different approach. You know, more bold, less princess-like, which led me to a direction like this:I also did some modeling, but now that I look at her, I think that I should have used the version in the middle. Still, below you can see the T-Pose model of Zoe:
This is, of course, still an early version of it, and I think she is missing some of this boldness that you can see in the sketch. This is something to work on....
Now, time to get back to the work. The game will not make itself.
